Breast Cancer Diagnosis in Angela's words :- On the 15th of June I had an MRI scan on my heart to check its function after my weird episode in March when my heart was not pumping effectively. Early July I received a call saying they had found something on the scan, nothing wrong with my heart but a mass in my right breast. I was referred under the urgent care rules and was seen in a week at the conquest. I had a mammogram and a biopsy taken. I could feel no lump. I am 40 and would not be routinely scanned as too young. On the 20th of July I was told I had Invasive Ductal Cancer grade 3 which is fast growing.  Shortly after I was told I have triple negative breast cancer which is harder to treat as it does not respond to any of the hormone treatments available. I have also had to be tested for the BRCA1/2 gene as I have a higher chance of carrying the cancer gene. My wonderful husband Tom and amazing brother James are going to shave their heads with me on Thursday. It is important to me to be in control of my hair loss. I can't bare the idea of it falling out in clumps when I’m washing it or waking up and it's on my pillow, so I am going to have my hair harvested and I will be donating it to Little Princess Trust. They provide free real hair wigs to children and young adults coping with hair loss due to cancer treatment and other illnesses. I would love for people to please donate anything you can to help me raise some money for the breast cancer charity. I have received amazing care from the NHS. I start my chemotherapy Tuesday 28th of August. This has come as such a shock, I have no symptoms please ladies feel your boobs, gents feel your ladies’ boobs. Use me as an excuse to cop a feel, get familiar with how they feel and check them with you in different positions.
