A special Day - I planned out a set of activities to mark our 10th wedding anniversary, Angela was handed notes by several people throughout the day with instructions of what to do next.

Summary of activities and letters handed to Angela during the day.

First Letter given to Angela By James (Brother) (along with the first task letter)

Rules of engagement 

Well here we are, 10 years married, at some points I didn't think we would make it but we have and to mark this very special occasion I have planned a day for you I think you will like. There are rules to the day that you will need to follow in order for the next surprise to take place. So here they are. 


1/ You are not to ring anyone about today, you can take phone calls and reply to texts but you are not to ring anyone with the intent of trying to find out what is going on, that applies to sending texts also. I will find out if you do!!!


2/ The kids are being taken care of, don't worry about them, you will see them soon. 


3/ Be prompt, you have a couple of things today that means you will need to "Get a wriggle on" please try and keep to the times set out and we will get everything in 


4/ Enjoy yourself, this is 10 years of enjoyment today, relax and go with the flow. 


5/ I look forward to seeing you later and hope you enjoy the day.

Joe (Son) picked up by James

Letter given to Angela by James: -

First task, 

You will need to be organized for your first task, if everything has gone according to plan James has handed you this letter around 8:00 and taken Joe out for the day, which means that Sophie is kinda in the way ATM. So at approx. 9:30 someone will be there to pick her up and take care of her for the day. Please ensure you have sorted a day bag out for her with a change of clothes. The next set of instructions will be given to you shortly.

Sophie (Daughter) picked up by Britt (Mother)

Letter given to Angela by Britt: -

Second task, 


It should be approx. 9:30 and you and your mum will be stood in the hallway, this will be a real test for you.... No time to chat to mum to try and find out what is going on... YOU HAVE 10 MINS!!! There will be 2 people there at 9:40 to pick you up and take you to your first proper surprise. Quick quick don't just stand there !!!! Oh and don't worry about putting make up on, don't think you will need it.

Angela was picked up by two friends (Vicky and Charlotte) shortly after and taken to Bannatyne Spa for a morning of being pampered Followed by lunch.

Third task, 


Ok well now you should be sat having lunch with the Vicky and Charlotte, and feeling a bit more relaxed about the day. Well the next one could be a bit stressful but I am pretty sure with the help you have at hand it should go fine. In this envelop you will find £200, I know it won't buy the finest outfit but you task is to get some evening wear, I am not telling you where you will be going but the girls will assist I sure. Enjoy!!!

Letter (and wine!!) dropped off at the house by Me before they returned from shopping: -

Fourth task, 


Well it should be around 17:00-17:30 now, I hope shopping was fun and you managed to get something you liked :) ok, get ready time and something that I am sure you would agree has not been your forte in past years. There is someone coming to pick you up at 7:15 there isn't any leeway here, so you will need to make sure you are ready. To aid you in the process there are 2 bottles of wine for you and the girls to share. Have fun!!!!

Angela was picked up by a chauffeur and taken to the Two Bulls steakhouse along Hastings seafront where i was waiting. We enjoyed a lovely meal and drunk plenty of wine. Once dinner had finished a taxi arrived to pick us up and take us to our final destination for the day, The Brickwall hotel in Sedlescombe, where Champagne was on ice when we arrived at the suite.

This memory will always have a special place in my heart,
